Welcome to my digital portfolio.
My name is Hal, I’m a young artist and designer from Sussex, United Kingdom. I’m currently doing an Art and Design Foundation specialising in Graphic Design,
with a background in Fine Art and an experimental approach to visual commmunication.
My work is purposeful and people focused and I’m always ready to explore new ideas. I love taking risks and pushing myself to improve, drawing energy from music, films, culture, politics and the everyday things that make people curious.
I’m open to all kinds of creative collaborations and always excited to see where new projects take me.

DESCRIPTION

This Live Brief involved developing a name and visual identity for a basement gallery space at Brighton MET. The concept was informed by architectural research and site analysis, leading to the name ‘Void’- which architecturally is defined as a deliberately designed negative space within a structure.

I developed a flexible logo system capable of functioning across print, digital and environmental applications. The identity was designed with adaptability in mind, incorporating interchangeable image underlays and scalable compositions for social media, posters and wayfinding. Throughout the process, I engaged in iterative prototyping, client presentations and peer critique, refining typography, colour palette, and compositional balance to ensure clarity and cohesion within the exisiting institutional branding.
